A smile and experience with every drink and meal
That’s how we describe our menu in Kellyxír, the alchemist cafe. And why alchemist? Just have a look around and you will see for yourself. There are pipes on the ceiling crawling straight from the attic laboratory where all the revitalising potions are made.
Then we tap them at the bar and test them on our visitors. You can see alchemistic drawings on the walls and there is the emperor Rudolf II. himself watching you from the famous picture of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, who created his image from fruits.
And where does all the alchemist decoration come from? Kellyxír is a part of the Museum Mysteria Pragensia which refers to a legend of the famous alchemist Edward Kelley who apparently lived in this very place. And it is his laboratory where our elixirs come from. Surely, after visiting the museum you will desire to stay in this magical world of alchemy a little longer – and Kellyxir is the perfect place to enjoy that.
What do we offer?
Cocktails served in stylish alchemistic flasks filled with bubbles and smoke just how you would expect from the alchemist’s potion. We also offer hot drinks, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and many small or larger meals from the kitchen of the Lady Kelley herself. Please have a look at our menus either here, or even better, at the tables inside or out, in one of the most beautiful courtyards in Prague. Here we also host concerts and theatre performances during summer evenings. However, we offer cultural events all year long in our Apropo Theatre.
